About
Wentbridge
Our Wentbridge Autism Service is a discharge-focused service for men over 18 with a primary diagnosis of autism and detained under the Mental Health Act. Patients also have additional mental health needs. We are a hospital that provides a secure mental health service across several pathways and therefore have access to services that enable us to support patients with multiple diagnoses.
Service Vision
Patients are cared for in a purpose-built, low secure environment for people with autism. In line with our organisational values, our approach focuses on the individual’s needs. The environment provides large therapeutic spaces to facilitate the delivery of safe and effective care to patients who may have behaviours that require more support.

The
Ward Staff
Staff working on the Wentbridge Autism Service receive an induction and training programme that gives them the tools and knowledge to support our patients.
We also have a dedicated MDT made up of a Psychiatrist, speciality Doctor, Psychologist, Social Worker with input from an Autism Specialist and Occupational Therapist.
The team consist of:
